Is 'Recycling' A Fashion Faux Pas?

Top: Suzy Shier | Pants: H&M | Necklace: LightInTheBox | Wristwatch: Avon | Shoes: JustFab
Total: $63.95

I have a lot of things to tell you in this post and I don't even know where to begin! I'll begin at the reason for this post's title. I recently read an E! News article where they criticized a celebrity (Jennifer Aniston) for wearing the same dress twice (recycling). Since when has not throwing your clothes away after one wear become a fashion faux pas? Do you agree?  For this outfit, I stayed around the same color pallete as the previous one, but I made it more dressy by adding this pair of sandals, a statement necklace and these gorgeous textured pants + red lips.

I always dress up according to my mood... no matter what. If I don't, I will not feel comfortable in what I'm wearing. Do you do that too? I had planned out a different outfit initially, but I ended up changing into this just because I felt like wearing pants and nothing was going to change that.

Finally, I need some help! I NEED to find a brand that makes pants/jeans that fit perfectly (especially for pear-body shapes). If you have any suggestions, please them in the comment section!

Xo

Kike.

You look fab in this look and I adore the color palette! Brilliant! :)

I don't think there's anything wrong in 'recycling' a pair of clothing more than once. For me, I just try to wear the item a different way, than the first time.

Also, I do put outfits together ahead of time, but like you, there are days when I don't 'feel' like wearing certain things. So...I pick something else! :)

  3. I for one will not buy anything unless I can think of three or four ways to wear it. I guess I'm a faux pas on legs then!

  7. You look great Kike! I am a constant recycler! I would not even purchase something if I thought I was only going to wear it one time! Ridiculous! Anyway, you look fab! Love the color palette and your hair!

  10. When I buy something, I make sure I can wear it in multiple ways, so I definitely believe that it's not a fashion faux-pa. The media makes celebrities seem like they're above human...maybe Jennifer just really liked that dress! LOL. Hell. I just want to die every time I just those Just Fab heels cus I want them badly!

  12. Please there is nothing wrong with recycling. I see my clothes as an "investment" if it does not bring profit (me being able to wear it many times with different outfits) my debit card goes back into my wallet...quickly if I might add. Girls need multifunctional clothes.

Regarding Jeans for pear shaped beauties, well Ive heard top shop does nice jeans for us but I love Dorothy Perkins Jeans/jeggings. no need for me to wear a belt :D

    As always you look fabulous!

  13. Levi's has great jeans! Try all jeans in the bold! I never had to wear a belt anymore. No more annoying, fit in the front but loose in the back lol

    Good luck!
